The Walter Cronkite Awards for excellence in television political journalism reserves the right to copy and distribute all materials, including video submitted by an entrant, for the purposes of judging, promotion, education and research.

For academic, educational, journalistic and other not-for-profit purposes, the Walter Cronkite Awards and its partner organizations may occasionally exhibit video and other materials submitted to this competition by means other than broadcast or telecast. The video and related materials may be used by the Awards’ publicity, outreach and pedagogical activities, including press releases, virtual and live events, webinars, lectures, panels, professional education programs, research and touring exhibitions. Appropriate credit will be included.

These Cronkite Awards do not claim to endorse or support the business practices of any producers, stations, individuals, networks or affiliated organizations. Recognition is for material submitted and does not imply recognition for anything other than the material reviewed.

The Awards jury has complete discretionary control over eligibility; recategorizing entries as deemed appropriate; and determining whether an award will be given.

Responsibilities of the Walter Cronkite Awards for excellence in television political journalism are subject to the availability of funds and resources. This awards program is not intended to, and does not, and may not be relied upon to create a right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law by a party and against the Walter Cronkite Awards and funding partner organizations, the University of Southern California or the United States.
